Week 3 Blog Post

How Deep is the Ocean   Irving Berlin I chose to analyze the song, "How Deep is the Ocean" that we also listened to in class on September 20th. This piece was composed by Irving Berlin and sang by Bing Crosby. This song came out in 1932 and was a very popular song in this time. Throughout the piece, many different instruments solo with an improv feel to them, and make up their solo as they go along through the song. I enjoyed listening to the different notes and rhythms in their solos.  I picture this song being played on main street of Disneyland or even in a new movie or dance group. This is an upbeat song with a jazz or swing feel to it. If I had...
